Awkwafina

Awkwafina is an American performer and actress. Her first release was humorous, cleverly written music that tackled topics like race and sexuality. She then expanded her fans to Hollywood. Nora Lum is the daughter of Chinese and Korean parents in Forest Hills Queens. The trumpet was her first instrument. After classical and Jazz training She delved into hip-hop in her teen years. After concentrating on education, she was awarded a degree in journalism in university and also a women's study degree. Her focus shifted to music only after she completed her degree. Following her viral success on the Internet, her track My Vag was a reaction to Mickey Avalon's My Dick. It eventually made its way onto her debut album Yellow Ranger. The album featured other popular hits, including the body positive Queef and winking hometown tour NYC Bitche$. The last track was connected directly to Awkwafina's NYC travel guide, which was published in 2015. Her resume included both the musician and author. She was now looking to expand her career into acting. In addition to early shows like Girl Code, Tawk and Bad Rap she also appeared in films like Neighbors to Storks. Her breakout role was in Dude Ocean's 8 as well as Crazy Rich Asians. The EP came out in June.
