Amy Smart

Amy Smart, an American model and actress. Born and brought up in California, USA, she started her modelling career in Italy. She made her acting debut at the age of 16 in the TV film "Her Costly Love". It was a struggle to land a role as a star in Starship Troopers, despite having been in a variety of movies. The transition between modeling and acting since models aren't considered to be an actor, so they're usually given insignificant and small roles. Amy did not give up and she eventually landed larger roles, beginning with the TV series "The 70's" and the movie "Varsity Blues". In 2005 she took her role as lead actress in the romantic comedy called 'Just Friends'. Ryan Reynolds also was in the film. Amy was finally recognized for the role she'd sought for over a decade. Amy was later involved in various big-budget films, such as"Crank" with Jason Statham, the "Crank" series starring Jason Statham, and the show 'Shameless,' where she was a popular recurring character.
